"Always Something New."  This is the Urban Yarns motto and continually motivates us to provide our customers with fresh and innovative products and designs.  The store was born out of a love and passion for yarns and the desire to inspire others of all ages and abilities to explore the endless possibilities of this craft. 

We believe our two stores are visually exciting places to shop and we offer a large range of yarns of various fibres and prices.   Our knowledgeable staff love to share their expertise but are also constantly energized by the creativity of our customers.

We also believe that giving back to the community is part of our mission.  Urban Yarns supports The BC Cancer Foundation through The Ride to Conquer Cancer; in 2010 our team of 22 was proud to have raised $94,000 and are committed to participate in this annual event.
