We ship orders every day between Monday and Saturday.  If your order is received before 1:00 p.m., we'll try our best to ship and reply to your order that day.  If your order is received after 1:00 p.m., we'll ship and reply to your order either that day or the following day.  We'll let you know if all items are in stock and if not, provide alternatives and/or an estimate on when we expect to receive them.

NB The US shipping and handling costs include shipments to the Coninental USA only. We will ship to Hawaii and Alaska for the actual Canada Post shipping cost to that address.

We ship our orders via Canada Post which has proven to be very speedy and reliable. We wish the shipping rates were lower but sadly we can't control Canada Post's prices. We've averaged costs to come up with these rates and in many cases, especially with larger shipments, our rate will be less than Canada Post's actual charge.

Orders outside Canada and the U.S.

For orders outside Canada and the U.S. we will charge the actual Canada Post shipping cost to that address.  International orders should be sent to us by email to knitting@urbanyarns.ca or by fax to 604-228-1133.

Taxes

U.S. and International orders are not subject to taxes.  Total purchases, including shipping and handling, by Canadians are subject to 5% GST (13% on all items but books for customers residing in Nfld., NS and NB). Residents of British Columbia are also subject to B.C. PST on items that are not yarn, kits, patterns and pattern books.
